Maine real estate market - What's the pulse - How's state doing?
Well according to the Maine Association of REALTORS (MAR) the numbers are rosy.MEDIAN MAINE PROPERTY SALES PRICE AND HOME SALES UP IN JANUARY: In a press release to the media today, MREIS reports the median sales price for a single-family existing home increased 5.09% since January 2009, reaching $160,000.
The median sales price indicates half of the homes were sold for more and half sold for less. A total of 484 homes sold in January 2010 - up 18.63% from 12 months ago. During the rolling quarter of November, December and January, home sales increased 36.87%. January marks the eighth month of positive gains in existing home sales in Maine.
